Dr. Bobadilla obtained his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University in 2008, after completing an APA-accredited forensic psychology internship at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, FMC Butner, North Carolina.
Dr. Bobadilla has pursued a dual academic and clinical career and has over 15 years of experience as a full-time professor leading to the publication of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and research projects at varied settings including Veteran Administration hospitals, state prisons and county jails, examining the neurobiological bases of psychopathy, interpersonal aggression, and substance abuse (curriculum vitae link). He directed the forensic emphasis in the Psy.D. program at Pacific University from 2015 until 2021, and is currently a tenured associate professor in the Ph.D clinical psychology program where he maintains continues his line of research.
Dr. Bobadilla completed a post-doctoral residency at the Sex Offender Treatment Program at the Oregon State Hospital from 2014 until 2015. For the past 10 years, he has also maintained a private practice mostly conducting psychosexual evaluations, violence risk assessments, and aid and assist evaluations with Spanish-speaking clients across Oregon.
Dr. Bobadilla is fully bilingual and bicultural and has traveled extensively throughout Latin America, providing him with a deep appreciation for the role that cultural issues can play in the psycholegal arena among monolingual Spanish speaking and other Latin American clients residing in the United States.
